The Software License Assignment report lists all the software licenses that have been assigned to hardware assets or to users for a given software title. It does not include unassigned licenses. Based on discovery data, it indicates whether or not the software is installed on an asset. Use the report to harvest licenses or change assignments as necessary.
Use the parameters section at the top of the report to determine the Software Title used in the report.
The Software License Assignment report has the following information:
Software License: The name of the software license.
Software Version: The version of the software that the license applies to.
Type: The type of software license, which is usually a license.
Unit: The basis for the license, such as a CPU or a device.
Total Licenses: The total number of licenses available.
User Name: The name of each user assigned to a software license.
Hardware Asset: The name of each hardware asset assigned to a software license. Click on a hardware asset to open the Hardware Asset Details report.
Assigned: The number of licenses that have been assigned to a user, an asset or the software license.
Installed: The number of licenses installed on an asset, which is based on discovery information.
Assigned Keys: The license keys assigned to a user or an asset.
